Michael is a specialist in corporate tax with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.
Clients voted Michael a leading tax practitioner in the International Tax Review surveys in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
Michael worked for the Australian Government Solicitor for more than eleven years and as the Deputy Australian Government Solicitor, he had national responsibility for its revenue and regulatory litigation and legal advice practice.
Michael joined the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) in 1999 as Deputy Chief Counsel. This high level experience has given him a wealth of knowledge and insight into administration law, tax litigation and the work of government regulatory agencies.
Michael understands the commercial issues faced by the corporate sector and enjoys widespread reputation for achieving the best possible outcomes for his clients.

Edwina focuses on tax disputes and litigation. Her clients are predominantly in the publicly listed and global business sectors, and her work includes legal services for use in audit, objection and preparation for litigation and includes assisting clients in assessing their tax risk in potential transactions through to actual disputes.
Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal in 2006, Edwina was formerly of the Australian Government Solicitor in the Sydney Revenue Team, where she was the solicitor responsible for several of the top 12 Federal Court cases currently before the Federal Court, as well as running some High Wealth Individual cases successfully for the Commissioner.
Edwina's background includes Banking and Insolvency litigation at Minter Ellison, as well as lecturing in Revenue Law, Commercial Transactions, Litigation and Evidence at the Universities of Sydney and New South Wales. |
